3M Cubitron 2 Fibre Disc 987C is a premium abrasive designed using cutting edge technology (no pun intended).
987C disc are designed with 3Ms precision shaped grain that cuts exceptionally fast at low pressure, meaning you let the disc do the work, with the added benefit of lowing operator fatigue from reduced grinding pressure. They last up to twice as long as conventional discs meaning you can complete twice the work before a disc change is required.
The triangular shaped ceramic grain wears evenly, runs cool and continually chips meaning there is always a new edge allowing the disc to performer as if new right through its life. The grinding aid incorporated on the disc minimizes grinding temperatures which is of benifit to heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, titanium, and nickel. The disc is durable and tear resistant with a stiff fibre backing and strong resin bond for high pressure weld grinding and bevelling.
