Nuffield Engineering Supplies was established in April 1994 following a management buyout of Thos P Headland (Poole), a national tool distributor.
NES tools success and growth has been largely due to our ability to work closely with customers and develop relationships to understand their needs, helping us to then offer cost reductions and efficiency improvements as practical solutions.
Our in-house technical knowledge and distributor experience ensure that we offer the very highest service levels to any company seeking a professional procurement solution.
We are supply partners and liaise closely with leading manufacturers to keep customers up to date with all the latest innovation and technology in the marketplace.
We are also a member of Troy (UK), one of the largest buying groups for independent distributors in the UK.
Nuffields move in 2013 doubled the size of our premises, offering local customers better facilities including a large trade counter and ample parking.
NEStools.com was relaunched in November 2017 with new fuctions such as online ordering, request a quote, view and reorder previous orders, save your basket, favourite product and much more, with the aim to save our customer time and money.
We are committed to minimizing the impact of our general activities on the environment.
The key points of our strategy to achieve this are to:
Minimise our waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.
Minimise our toxic emissions through the selection and use of our fleet and the source of its power requirement.
Actively recycle/reuse metal, wood and cardboard packaging wherever possible.
Source and promote product ranges that minimize environmental impact.
Meet or exceed all environmental legislation that relates to the Company.
We strongly believe in trying to 'give something back' and in encouraging a good work/life balance for all of our team.
Our directors support and work with local charities and encourage others to do the same.
Our team know the importance of working well together, we encourage family ethics and help each other both in and out of work.
We donate annually to deserving local community programmes and charities.
We donate any suitable surplus and obsolete stock lines to local charity shops.
Where possible we sponsor local teams and other local events.
We fully understand the importance of 'doing business in the right way' and strive to:
Always maintain high moral and ethical standards in all of our business dealings with both customers and suppliers.
Ensure that all parties are treated 'as we would wish to be treated ourselves'.
Develop long term partnerships that are to the mutual benefit of all concerned.
Work in an honest and open way ensuring we provide the best customer service and prices.
Continue to invest to 'improve the customer experience' and to make it as easy and trouble free as possible to do business with us.
Unfortunately no-one is perfect, from time to time we make mistakes, but when we do we guarantee to put things right as quickly and efficiently as possible.
