Guhring 5492 PCD Slot Drills are 2-flute cutting tools designed for precision machining of fibre-reinforced composite materials, including CFRP, GFRP and aramid, as well as graphite. Manufactured with PCD cutting edges, they provide high wear resistance for demanding composite machining applications.
The 5492 features internal coolant supply, centre cutting and neck clearance, with a 2–4° helix angle and HA shank design. The standard-length geometry is suitable for slotting, ramping, plunging, roughing and finishing applications in composite materials.
